Good softball fields good play ground good neighborhood, watch out for fly balls

This is a fantastic park. They have 8 baseball fields and very well-maintained. The crew that maintains these fields are awesome, friendly, helpful. There are also 4 enclosed outdoor tennis courts, 2 San volleyball courts, 2 areas where younger children can play on those jungle gyms, a large pond stocked with all sorts of fish, a very large field where all sorts of events can take place. There is a Community Center where there are rooms for classes. It’s not big like Freestone Park, but this is a different community area. Plenty of parking and the grounds/facilities can be accessed from the east from neighborhood streets and the west side you can access off McQueen between Elliot and Guadalupe. The Western Canal path for cyclists and walkers run through the park. There are plenty of greenbelt areas as well. It’s among my top 5 dog walking places.

Great park. My daughter has played softball there for years. The fields are well kept but the downside would be that there’s no concessions. They did have concessions for little league but weekend tournaments they do not. Plenty of parking.

Bathrooms were well taken care of as well as the trash cans. Made for a pleasant experience. Fields need to be watered frequently otherwise the infield becomes ultra soft and powderery.
